General questions
The contents are identical for both label lines – it is always the same high-quality Deiser's canned bread/cake.
The difference lies solely in the label design:
Ready-2-Survive : We supply this line to, among others, the Austrian Armed Forces. It is particularly valued in the prepper and survival scene, as the label is specifically geared towards crisis preparedness and outdoor adventures.
Deiser's Original : This is our colorful version. It is especially popular with campers, hikers, and families, and brings cheer to every outing.
Our canned bread is purchased by, among others , BBG – Bundesbeschaffung GmbH , the Austrian Armed Forces , various municipalities and district authorities , hospitals and state police directorates .
The label was by no means applied upside down by mistake – after all, no cake should be upside down.
Since we fill the tin with the cake top first, so that the moment of enjoyment can later be effortlessly removed along with the paper baking tin, the label is deliberately applied mirror-inverted.
Our cake simply prefers to stand on its feet, and therefore we also store it correctly.
Please note: When paying by eps transfer, the amount is first transferred to the account of our webshop provider SHOPIFY.
Since Shopify's European headquarters are located in Luxembourg, the IBAN begins with LU.
SHOPIFY then reliably transfers the amount to our Austrian company account – thus, the payment process is completely correct.
Quality and ingredients
We recommend enjoying the bread within 3 days of first opening; this also applies to our cakes.
Yes! Ideally, after opening the tin, let the bread "breathe" for about 10 minutes before eating it for the first time. This makes it taste even more aromatic.
The hissing sound is caused by the negative pressure released when the can is opened. This is a quality feature that shows that the can was still hermetically sealed and under vacuum .
The cans are packed very tightly. Tip: Open the can from both sides —this makes it easier to squeeze out the bread.
Our whole rye bread, rye mixed bread, and hemp bread do not contain soy grits or soy lecithin in their ingredient lists, making them good alternatives for people with a soy intolerance.
These three types of bread are also suitable for people with fructose intolerance.
Unfortunately, if you suffer from celiac disease or gluten intolerance, we do not have a suitable bread type in our canned bread range. For a wheat allergy, our classic, the whole rye bread, is a well-tolerated and recommended bread.
Lactose-intolerant people can enjoy any bread type from our range.
All the canned breads we offer are vegan. Thechocolate cake and the lemon cake contain egg and dairy components and are therefore not vegan.
No. Ourchocolate cake and our lemon cake are baked exclusively with high-quality rapeseed oil and sunflower oil – completely without palm oil.
Our other products, namely the canned breads, do not contain oil.
Our products are produced in accordance with the Austrian Food Law (in its latest version).
We use food cans for our breads and cakes. These are tinplate cans with a bisphenol-free (BPA-free) inner coating.
Yes, our tin cans are 100% recyclable and feature a bisphenol-free inner coating—safe for you and environmentally friendly to dispose of.
Tip : The empty cans can also be wonderfully reused – for example, as a storage box in the kitchen, as a flower pot, for pens and utensils, or for crafts with children. This way, you can give the can a second life before it goes into recycling.
Our baked goods are produced in an energy-autonomous production facility in Lower Austria – independent of external energy suppliers, with a focus on sustainable processes and responsibility for the environment and the future.
